Isn't this sad? Seriously. How far are these young women willing to go so they look "perfect" ?? And this girl, Heidi, is more famous for her plastic surgery than for anything else. So... what will she do next to extend her 15 minutes?

The Self magazine cover was shot around the same time as the concert photo. Look how much they digitally altered! It's important for people to know that the people they see on magazine covers aren't real!

Why is this so common in the acting and fashion industry??? What kind of example is this setting for women? For little girls?? This is so sad and pathetic. Makes me sick.

This is what REAL women look like! Curvy and amazing!

I love the Victoria Secret Models. LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Love their curves!

And even them... and they're definitely pretty thin, are considered curvy and more "full" than a typical model.

These women look more like women... and not stick figures. Yay Angels!

Brittany Murphy Looked Emaciated at Last Public Appearance

Two weeks before her shocking Dec. 20 death, Brittany Murphy appeared skinnier than ever.

Wearing a short black dress by designer pal Tiffany Saidnia, the actress looked emaciated as she walked the red carpet Dec. 3 for the opening of Tt Collection's Pop-Up shop in Los Angeles. One online blogger wrote that her dress "hung to her skin and bones frame."

Despite her disturbing appearance, Murphy appeared to be in good spirits. "I've been very blessed to have a really great loving husband," she told Access Hollywood, referring to director Simon Monjack, whom she wed in 2007. "I spend more time with my family than anyone else in the world."

She also revealed her goal for 2010. "As far as having a New Year's resolution, I'd love to have a child next year," she said. "But that's kind of a large one!"

She also turned heads Dec. 1 at the L.A. premiere of indie film Across the Hall, which she shot in 2008.

Her red carpet appearances came shortly after Murphy stopped working on a film in Puerto Rico.

Internet reports claimed that she was fired, but her rep denied the rumors, saying, "She was not nor has she ever been fired from any job big or small ... [Due] to creative differences Ms. Murphy and the production mutually parted ways."

I saw this cover and my felt so terribly sad for these girls. Why does Hollywood idolize the unrealistic look of the size 0 beauty? Actresses, models, singers and so forth have to feel an incredible amount of pressure to look like this. How can they possibly remember their lines when they have no food in their stomach's?? This is sad and pitiful, and I'm ashamed of the Hollywood industry. Perhaps we should consider a boycott against it. Only money has power in that area... if we took our spending away, maybe those who set these idiotic "trends" will finally stop.

Plus Size Whitney Thompson is America’s Next Top Model

Whitney Thompson took top honors on this seasons “America’s Next Top Model” competition. The 20 year old made history because she is the first plus-size winner in the history of the show.

Thompson had this to say about her win:

People always say you have to be stick-skinny, emaciated and unhealthy and I’ve kind of stood up for [being full-figured] my whole life. I’m not going to lose 50 pounds – if someone asks me to do that, I’ll go to another [modeling] agency. I’ve already heard online from boys and girls all over the world who are dealing with eating disorders. They’re thanking me for standing up and saying, ‘I am a plus-size model and I am beautiful.’ This is what people should look like rather than skin-and-bones, which is disgusting and sends a bad message to people everywhere.”

Thompson is from Atlantic Beach, Florida and believes she has a great deal in common with the shows host Tyra Banks, who has been the recipient of much criticism over a series of unflattering bikini photos.

So now Thompson will hit the TV circuit with planned visits to Live with Regis & Kelly and The Early Show. She will also do a fashion spread in Seventeen magazine and receive a modeling contract from Elite Modeling.

This is what women USED to look like

Stars of today. It seems as though they get skinner and skinner, and Hollywood's ideal image gets smaller and smaller. A size 12 used to be curvy and healthy, and I can remember when a size 6 and 8 was ideal (more the 6 than the 8). Now it's size 0-2. Really??? Who in the hell looks like that naturally??!! I only know a small handful of women who wear those sizes, and they're all around 5 feet tall and extremely petite. Not 5'10" like today's stars and models. When will this end???

Bombshell Hollywood beauties of the golden years... when women were curvy and looked like real women.
